1. Badlands Trail, Laguna Niguel
   On a good weather day, the end of this trail offers an incredible 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean, including a clear view north to Palos Verdes and south to Dana Point. Badlands trail can be found by parking on Isle Vista in Laguna Niguel and taking the stairs that lead up to Badlands Park. Turn left at the top of the stairs, continue down a set of wooden stairs, and follow the path to the end. You’ll be rewarded with a truly amazing view…enjoy!
2. Crescent Bay Point Park, Laguna Beach
   The view from this coastal point is truly breathtaking. It is also very accessible by foot or by car. This beautiful, grassy park is a very popular spot for couples to marry, but it isn’t always crowded, making it a great spot to enjoy a picnic while you take in this amazing stretch of coastline.
3. Crystal Cove State Park/El Moro, Laguna Beach
   Crystal Cove is a natural playground that offers a number of unique and beautiful views. You can enjoy the ocean vistas from the top of the bluffs, or walk down to the sand and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beachfront and tide pools. Crystal Cove State Park is accessible from Pacific Coast Highway between Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach.
4. Dana Point Harbor, Dana Point
   From the top of Scenic Drive in Dana Point, you can enjoy a panoramic view of all of Dana Point Harbor and the open ocean beyond. Or venture down into the harbor itself and get a close-up view of the sailboats and yachts, including two historic tall ships, the Pilgrim and the Spirit of Dana Point. Beautiful and interesting sights abound!
5. Holy Jim Trail and Santiago Peak, Trabuco Canyon
   Holy Jim Trail winds through beautiful wooded, mountainous terrain that is not usually associated with Orange County. The very adventurous hiker can take Holy Jim Trail up more than 4,000 feet to Santiago Peak, which at 5,689 feet is the tallest peak in Orange County. On a clear day, this strenuous, 15-mile round trip trek can reward you with views of Catalina Island over most of Orange County, as well as views of Mt. San Antonio, Mt. San Gorgonio, and Mt. San Jacinto.
6. Huntington Beach Pier, Huntington Beach
   This might be THE perfect spot to take in the world famous Surf City lifestyle. Stroll out on the pier and watch surfers compete for waves on the north side of the pilings, and enjoy the open expanse of water and the scenery up and down the coastline. You can even get a meal with a view on the rooftop deck at Ruby’s Diner. Great spot. Great surf. Great views. ‘Nuff said.
7. Inspiration Point and Lookout Point, Corona del Mar
   These serene, grassy spots are located near each other on the bluffs overlooking Corona Del Mar beach. You can look out over the sand and surf below and get a great view northwest across Newport Harbor. During a big swell, you can even see the waves crashing against the jetty at the infamous Wedge. You’ll find plenty of grass and several benches to sit on, so take your time—these just might be the BEST spots to watch the sunset.
8. Orange County Mining Co., Orange
   This well-known restaurant sits atop Orange Hill in the city of Orange and overlooks all of central Orange County. The view from Orange County Mining Co. is phenomenal. You can enjoy a good meal while watching the sun set on the western horizon. And don’t underestimate the beauty of the far-reaching city lights twinkling under the night sky.
9. Top of the World Park (Alta Laguna Park), Laguna Beach
   Top of the World Park sits more than 1,000 feet above sea level and delivers views of almost all of Orange County on clear days. This is a great place to enjoy California’s chaparral and coastal environments while getting a bit of fresh air and exercise. This spot also serves as a hiking and biking trailhead for Aliso and Wood Canyons Regional Park.

    This is truly a great place to take in the scenery and “unplug” from the hustle and bustle of Orange County life. Behind the Tucker Wildlife Center you’ll find the Harding Truck Trail.
