I was referred by my sister.

My name is Joseph, and I’m here at Saddleback Eye going to have my LASIK procedure performed. I was referred by my sister, and sixty-five thousand is a lot of operations, so it’s definitely worth going with somebody that knows what they’re doing and has all that experience.

It didn’t hurt at all, but it was definitely a strange experience — having someone lift your eye and then everything goes blurry. There was this moment when I thought “Oh my god, my vision is completely in the hands of this person.” But it was so fast. I stood up from the table and I could read. I don’t think it has really hit me yet because I’m still wearing glasses, but they’re not prescription. The whole experience probably took four hours and they were sending me out the door. It was a pretty huge difference, instead of blurs and dots I could actually see eye color and everything. It’s amazing.
